One must either earn an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree, or attend a two-year program at a hospital to become a radiology tech in Virginia. So in this state it takes between two and four years of Virginia radiology tech training to be ready to enter the field. Most people chose the two-year route. There are several Virginia radiology technician schools available, including several online options. The online programs offer a great number of advantages including the ability to “attend” class on your own time, from anywhere you choose. Online programs are available for certificates, associate’s degrees, and bachelor’s degree programs in radiologic technology.

Through campus or online programs, aspiring Radiology Technicians in Arlington, Richmond, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Alexandria, Portsmouth and Hampton, Virginia may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the University of Virginia Medical Center, Saint Mary's Hospital, Lynchburg General Hospital and Inova Fairfax Hospital.
