Although there are several schools to choose from, you should make sure that the school you choose has a degree program suited to your personal and professional career goals.
To be licensed as a long term care provider in Washington, you will need a certain amount of collegiate education, depending on which branch of long term care you are pursuing. Licensed practical nurses in Washington should ideally have a 2-year associate degree, although 1-year certificate programs are also acceptable. Registered nurses will need to have a bachelor degree in nursing studies. Advanced practical nurses can go with either the bachelor degree or the master degree, but they are usually required to have supplemental training in pharmacology and anesthetics.
