Continuing education is one of the most important aspects of being a professional. Continuing education allows public health professionals to develop their practice and to serve communities to the best of their ability. The activities that meet continuing education will vary from profession to profession, which is why it is important to contact the national organization that certifies the profession.  Most organizations that obligate continuing education will also require continuing education activities that are specific to the profession.  After continuing education ventures are found, it is best to choose areas that focus on public health.
