Physician Assistant Education in West Virginia - WV

You can either attend live location physician assistant schools in West Virginia or an online school for physician assistant study. The option is solely up to you; however, many students do prefer to attend online schools because they are much more convenient and typically do not cost as much as conventional schooling.
The importance of national accreditation cannot be stated enough. It is simply not feasible to obtain a license in the state without it. So, it is imperative that the physician assistant schools one chooses are accredited by one of the agencies listed above.
The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, or ARC-PA, is very firm in the ethics and standards that they implement. They do this to make sure that all students pursuing a career in this field understand the ethics, morals and knowledge required from them in this profession.
The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs is also known as the CAAHEP. They are an equally important accrediting agency to the ARC-PA, but they are a slightly larger organization. This does not mean that one organization holds higher rank over the other; rather it means that both agencies are valid and important to the future career of a physician assistant.
Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Physician Assistants in Charleston, Huntington, Parkersburg and Wheeling, West Virginia may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital, Wheeling Hospital, Saint Mary's Medical Center and Ruby Memorial Hospital.
