Wyoming Healthcare Informatics School - WY

There are no known on-campus nursing informatics schools in Wyoming, therefore students need to research Wyoming nursing informatics programs that are offered through online universities or distance-learning alternative education options. Fortunately, web-based nursing programs are becoming increasingly more popular because they allow students to pick and choose programs that accommodate an individual’s specific financial, geographical, and time considerations. In addition, online and distance-learning programs in nursing informatics also benefit students by offering a wide variety of different types of certificates and degrees not usually provided by individual on-campus universities and colleges. For instance, students could earn a Master of Science in Nursing-Nursing Informatics, Certificate in Health Care Informatics, Doctorate of Philosophy in Nursing, or a Bachelor in Health Informatics through accredited online programs. Required coursework between programs will slightly vary, however all programs will provide instruction that covers the relationships between aspects of health care and information systems. Some examples of classes found in online programs include: Introduction to Medical Informatics, Clinical Information Systems, Healthcare Data Management, Databases and Organizational Behavior and Management.
Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Nurses in Health Informatics in Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, Gillette and Rock Springs, Wyoming may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Campbell County Memorial Hospital, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Saint John's Medical Center and Wyoming Medical Center.
