According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a study completed in May 2009 revealed that the medical assistant salary in Alaska was $36,400 annually, and the average hourly salary was $17.50. Those with the most experience ranked as the highest paid, earning a salary of $47,990. Approximately 1,030 medical assistants are currently employed in Alaska.
