Students looking for on-site campuses that offer degree programs in Alaska may be limited to Anchorage where students can earn either a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, or an Associate of Applied Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology at a state university. However, thanks to available online and distance learning programs, students can widen their options by enrolling in these programs which may lead to such degrees as: Bachelor in Healthcare Studies-Medical Technology, Master of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Science, Associate in Medical Laboratory Technology and Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Some examples of 3-4 credit courses found in these programs include: Pharmacology, Molecular Pathology, Neurophysiology, Immunology, Emerging Diagnostics and Hematology.
