Delaware has a number of chiropractic schools, both campus-based and online programs that can be tailored to fit your schedule if you would like to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Chiropractic health care focuses primarily on spinal function and its relationship to the nervous system and good health.

Some chiropractic schools in Delaware prefer that candidates complete a bachelor's degree prior to entering the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Regardless, students must complete prerequisite classes in the following subject areas: biological sciences, general or inorganic and biochemistry, including corresponding lab work, and physics. Other suggested elective classes to consider taking are psychology, English/language skills and speech courses. A health science or medical terminology class is strongly recommended.

After a student enters the online or campus based chiropractic school in Delaware, the coursework will cover science courses such as anatomy, embryology, spinal anatomy, histology, cell physiology, biochemistry, cardiovascular/pulmonary physiology, immunobiology, toxicology, radiographic anatomy, skeletal radiology, and clinical neurology.

Other aspects of the curriculum will focus on the foundations in chiropractic philosophy and science, structural and functional spinal assessment, extravertebral adjusting and case management, soft tissue methods, chiropractic functional assessment, soft tissue radiology, clinical application of chiropractic theory, chiropractic case management, and differential diagnosis.
