Licensed dental hygienists are required to complete and document 24 hours of continuing education to renew their licenses. Louisiana Dental Hygienist License Renewal
Licenses for hygienists are granted for a 2-year period in Louisiana, and expire on December 31st of the second year. Renewal applications can be found on the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry website. License renewal costs $200 and payment and renewal documentation is required before the December 31st expiration date.
