Medical Assistant Schools in Florida - FL

Once you’ve completed your education through a Florida medical assistant school, you will want to become certified. To become a certified CMA in Florida, start by submitting an application for a CMA certification examination through the Florida chapter of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA-ntl.org). Alternatively, to practice as an MA in Florida, one can attain a designation of Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Only those with at least 5 years of on-the-job medical assistant work experience are pre-qualified to take the registered medical assistant examination administered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT1.com) organization to establish credentials as an RMA. Although certification or licensure is not mandatory to become an MA in the state of Florida, most employers are generally more confident in hiring those whom are credentialed or certified.
