The average gerontologist salary in Hawaii is difficult to pin point because there is such a broad range of possibilities for employment within this field.  Depending on the location, the number of ageing people, demand for gerontology trained professionals, and your level of education and credentials, the salary can be as high as $150,000 per year.  Gerontologists in Hawaii are employed in a variety of settings including nursing homes, assisted living centers, hospitals, and public health offices.
