Licensing Requirements in Georgia

Very simply stated, the State of Georgia does not currently license this profession. In fact, there are only a select few states that actually do offer licensure for nutritionists. What this means is that there will be nothing additional required of you from your state. There are, however, several other things that you will need to be aware of before you can begin working as a nutritionist.

Accrediting Agencies

There is a large selection of nutritionist schools in Georgia, and you will not be limited by any means in choosing a good school.

This the American Dietetic Association Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education is an off-branch of the American Dietetic Association, so the rules and standards that have been put together by this coalition are very highly respected in the health and nutrition industry. There is no requirement for this in the State of Georgia.
