    1. As with all medical professions, it is required that the candidate must have a formal high school education. It is advised that high school students, who seek to become nutritionists, take courses in biology, mathematics and health.

  1. To become a nutritionist, the candidate must at least have a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food service systems management or a related area. The candidate must also ensure that the bachelor’s degree course they are in is accredited by the American Dietetic Association.  Students who are in these majors take courses in foods, Institution management, chemistry and even nutrition specifically.
  2. The state of New Hampshire is one of the 33 states that require an aspiring candidate, interested in becoming a Nutritionist, to attain a license. This license enables the candidate to practice as professional and qualified nutritionist in almost any medical establishment they may find an opportunity in.
