Dental hygienists in Indiana are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education every two years. They must also renew their dental hygienist license with the Indiana State Board of Dentistry every two years, on the even years. The board requires that all dental hygienists complete a basic CPR course every two years and a two-hour course that covers ethics, professional responsibility, and Indiana Statutes and Administrative Rules.
