Medical Transcription Schools in Indiana

There are two educational options for Indiana students seeking to become medical transcriptionists: a certificate or an associate’s degree. The certificate of achievement in medical transcription only takes about 9 to 12 months of time, whereas the associate’s degree is slightly more comprehensive in that it requires two years of schooling to obtain.

The only way for an Indiana student to choose between the two programs is to determine the long-term career goals and the time available to invest in schooling. Whichever program that an Indiana student chooses, it should always be confirmed that the educational institution is accredited by the AHDI. Employers look more favorably on a medical transcriptionist that has completed an AHDI approved program and one that at least has the RMT credential.

There are a variety of Indiana medical transcription schools, especially offered online universities.
