Educational Requirements for Pharmacy Technicians in Kansas

Many employers prefer that their pharmacy technicians have graduated from either online or campus based Kansas pharmacy technician schools. There is usually a clinical component to most pharmacy technician programs, lasting an average of 40 hours. Some programs also have externships, where students work in a real pharmacy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Often such externships can also be included as job experience when applying for a pharmacy technician position after completion of the education program.
