Pharmacy Technician Education/Schools/Degrees in Nevada

You can get your education and degree from a number of online schools or campus-based Nevada pharmacy technician schools offering certification programs for pharmacy technicians that are recognized by the state of Nevada.

One of the most common ways to become certified is to go through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, which is recognized nationally.  There are several online courses that will help you pass the PTCB exam or the ASHP exam, and earn all the necessary degrees you want in order to achieve your goals as a Pharmacy Technician.

The PTCB and ASHP are nationally recognized organizations that license and certify pharmacy technicians, and prepares them with all of the necessary knowledge they will need in order to pass the exam, and be ready to work in a busy pharmacy.

CEC (Continued Education Credits) are not required in the state of Nevada, but rather pharmacy technicians must log 12 hours of “in-service? training every two-year period in between their renewals.  The pharmacist employing the technician must supervise, record the hours, and keep them located at the pharmacy.  This way the pharmacy board’s inspector can look them over during an annual review.

Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Pharmacy Techs in Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Spring Valley Hospital, Sunrise Hospital, Desert Springs Hospital and Northern Nevada Medical Center.
