Cardiac Sonography Training in New Hampshire - NH

Some cardiac sonographer education programs require that the applicant first have an associate degree in allied health. Others, however, will either award the associate degree or certificate after the training program has completed, which takes an average of 18 months to 2 years. If you want to pursue cardiac sonographer training in New Hampshire, you should first consider some of the physical skills and traits necessary for the position. Cardiac sonographers must be able to lift more than 50 pounds; push and pull; bend and stoop; have full use of both hands, wrists and shoulders; distinguish audible sounds; adequately and accurately view sonograms, including color distinctions; work standing on their feet 80% of the time; interact compassionately and effectively with sick patients; assist patients getting on and off examining tables; communicate effectively with patients and other health care professionals; and organize and accurately perform the steps involved in a sonographic procedure in the proper sequence.
