New Hampshire Medical Laboratory Technician Training Program

New Hampshire Medical Technician Educational Course of Study

The State of New Hampshire requires a 2 year specialized program in order to become a Medical Technician.  New Hampshire does not make national certification obligatory. It is always in your favor, however, to be certified by either the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologist (AMT). Your chances of employment are much greater than a non-certified candidate; therefore, it is well advised to consider it after completing your New Hampshire medical technician training program.

When it is time to request your certification you will want to make sure to have the skill-set necessary to allow you to pass the exam. These proficiencies will qualify you to pass. They also help you become adept in your career.

A suitable Associate degree program for Medical Technicians is widely available. The National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) has accredited many educational options for students including online, college, and university programs. Studying in the medical field has a strong focus in science courses and this includes the approved programs for a Medical Technician in New Hampshire.

There will be ongoing courses after you have become certified to help you stay current in your skills. These courses will introduce you to new technology and procedures that will update your skill-set in an on-going manner.
