New Hampshire Healthcare Informatics School - NH

In order to begin a career in the field of nursing informatics in New Hampshire, one must first be a registered nurse (RN) and have successfully completed this educational program.  Beyond the registered nurse (RN) credential, a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) is also required.  Nurses holding the RN-BSN credentials have then met the requirements that will allow them to seek admission in a master’s degree program in nursing informatics.   There are currently no New Hampshire nursing informatics programs, but plenty of online universities available. There are a variety of nursing informatics programs offered in an online format that New Hampshire residents can pursue. This format is beneficial because it can meet the needs of the working professional who is not able to put their job on hold while they pursue their education.  By thoroughly researching the online programs that are offered, you will then be able to find the one that suits you and your needs the most and begin the application process for admission.

It is also highly recommended for the student to seek out job shadowing opportunities in the nursing informatics field, in order to gain a better understanding of the profession and what roles and responsibilities it holds.  This can be done in conjunction with your master’s degree education or independently; just be sure to document your hours in case it is needed for proof on your certification application.
