Cardiovascular Technology Training in New Jersey - NJ

Cardiovascular technology training in New Jersey usually occurs while students are still pursuing their degrees or certificates. On-site cardiovascular technologist training usually occurs under the direct supervision of a certified, practicing cardiovascular technologist in a setting line that of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Bergen Regional Medical Center, Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, or Hackensack University Medical Center.

Once students have completed their cardiovascular tech training, they have the option of obtaining a certificate from the Association of Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS, or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI, Though certification is not required for this field, it can help a cardiovascular technologist stay current with her field and advance into a higher echelon in her career.

To obtain cardiovascular technologist certification, a student must take and pass an exam administered by ARDMS, CCI, or a similar organization. If she passes the exam, she can practice as a certified cardiovascular technologist for up to two years before her certification expires. To renew her certificate, she must provide her certifying organization with proof that she obtained continuing education units by participating in classes, seminars, and other events sponsored by the American Hearth Association, ARDMS, or another nationally recognized organization.
