New Jersey Ultrasound Technician Schools - NJ

At this time, there are five New Jersey ultrasound technician schools that have been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).  Three programs offer an associate's degree, 2 programs offer a certificate, and 1 program offers a baccalaureate degree.  One particular institution is a school exclusively related to health professions.  Their diagnostic medical sonography program has three educational options: a Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Technologies, and a Second Bachelor of Science. 

The curriculum for the professional component is the same for all three options.  This is an attractive choice for an individual just graduating from high school, an individual looking to obtain an advanced degree in diagnostic medical sonography, or an individual looking to change careers.  Since all of these programs are accredited, one will be eligible for examination by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) after completion.  This organization awards credentials in areas of diagnostic medical sonography, as well as specialty credentials.
