There are several New York nursing informatics programs both offered on campuses and in online formats. Students should make certain that programs in which they enroll are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Most online master’s of science in nursing (MSN) with nursing informatics specialization include clinical experience in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, group project work and online courses.

Classes in master's degree in nursing informatics programs in New York include many aspects of health and information science. Topics can range from information technology to the health care system covering such subjects as nursing research, nursing therapies, medical ethics, information technology in health care, project management, information management, and consumer healthcare informatics.
