Radiology Tech School in New York - NY


There are three options for education in the state of New York on the road to becoming a radiology tech.  The first, a certificate program, is a 1-2 year program that culminates in a certificate in radiology.  There are 15 such programs in New York, offered through hospitals and medical centers throughout the state.  Faculty is on staff at the hospital or medical center and they also act as clinical instructors for the practical portion of the program. 

An associate’s degree program is the next available option. The third and final educational option is a bachelor’s degree program.  This four-year program is offered by a college or university (there are three available programs in New York) and provides a more in depth study of the field of radiology and its subspecialties.  Students also complete off-site clinical rotations, allowing them to utilize what they have learned in the classroom in a real world setting under the guidance of a clinical instructor and other radiology professionals. 

New York Radiology Technician Schools are available, along with a variety of online options. Online universities offer the convenience and flexibility of earning a degree on your own schedule from wherever you choose.

Through campus or online programs, aspiring Radiology Technicians in New York, Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers and Syracuse, New York may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Presbyterian Hospital, Bellevue Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Brookdale Hospital.
