Continuing Education Requirements for Pharmacy Technicians in Ohio
- All licensed pharmacists in the state of Ohio must provide documentation that they have completed a minimum of 6 continuing education units (60 hours) through Ohio pharmacy technician schools every 3 years in order to qualify for license renewal
- 3 hours of the total required credits must be approved by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy in programs that cover the area of jurisprudence
- One continuing education credit is equal to 10 contact hours of participation in any organized and approved continuing education experience or program of pharmacy
- The individual must provide proper documentation certifying that they have participated in a structured and well-defined course or program in the subject of pharmacy experience directed by anyone that is approved by the Board
Licensure Renewal Policy for Pharmacy Technicians in Ohio
- All valid licenses expire each year on September 15th
- Individual must submit renewal fee of $97.50 to the Treasurer, State of Ohio
- Must provide documentation of 6 continuing education units, or 60 hours of continuing education credits every 3 years
