Xray Tech Salary in Rhode Island – RI
Between 2006 and 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor predicts a 12% increase in the number of RT jobs in Rhode Island. The average annual Rhode Island radiology tech salary hovers around $57,000. This number ranges, of course, depending on each x-ray tech’s level of experience, education, and responsibility.
Rhode Island radiologic technologist licenses expire on August 1 of odd-numbered years and must be renewed to remain valid. In order to renew, x-ray techs must accrue 24 continuing education hours every two years. Radiologic technologists who are registered with the ARRT are already required to earn 24 continuing education hours every two years to keep their ARRT registration current. The Rhode Island Board of Radiologic Technology will accept a current ARRT registration as evidence of continuing education hours.
