Medical Assistant Certification in Tennessee – TN


After completing a one or two-year program from a Tennessee medical assistant school, graduates can apply to take the national Certified Medical Exam. The exam is given by the American Association of Medical Assistants and is offered three times a year. Once graduates pass the exam they become a Certified Medical Assistant. This exam must be taken every 5 years for certification renewal. A Certified Medical Assistant has a less strenuous time finding a well paying career and a steady income than one who is not certified.
