Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Schools

Wisconsin has many well know hospitals and health care facilities. At many of these hospitals or at partner pharmacies, there are Pharmacy Technicians working with pharmacists to provide quality patient care for the customers. Wisconsin pharmacy technician schools offer campus-based and online programs to prepare students for the workforce.  According to a survey done by The Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) members disagree whether or not it is necessary to require certification or credentialing. Members do agree however that although it may be difficult to accomplish, it should still be considered.

There are many options for obtaining an education as a Pharmacy Technician. According to Wisconsin Health Careers, thirteen of the technical colleges in the state offer a Pharmacy Technician program. There are also other private schools and online programs that offer diploma programs or an AAS (Associate in Applied Science) degree. Having many programs in the state provides a greater opportunity for interested candidates to find an educational program that will work for them.

Through campus based and online programs, aspiring Pharmacy Techs in Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay, Wisconsin may be able to prepare themselves for the possibility of employment in some of the largest hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state including the Aurora Saint Luke's Medical Center, Saint Joseph's Hospital, University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and Saint Mary's Hospital.
