To work in the field of respiratory therapy in Wyoming, the state requires that national certification is received by successfully completing the NBCR exam. A state license is then issued by the Wyoming State Board for Respiratory Care. The license is valid for two years and can then be renewed each following two years for $100. Additional training requirements may be needed with certain specializations. Your license also entitles you to add the initials RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner) to your CRT or RRT identification. It shows that you are documented both as certified nationally and licensed in the state of Wyoming.
